Sakinah Foundation started on 23rd December 2021 as a small, volunteer-led effort fueled by a shared passion to support vulnerable youth and families. With limited resources but abundant heart, our founders came together in their local community to address pressing needs—offering mentorship, basic education, and emotional support one person at a time.
Though our journey began humbly, it was grounded in a powerful vision: to create lasting peace and empowerment for those often overlooked. Over time, this vision grew stronger, leading to our official Community-Based Organization (CBO) registration in 2024 and enabling us to expand our reach and deepen our impact.
Our humble beginnings remind us that even the smallest acts of kindness can spark meaningful change—and that every step forward is a step toward a more hopeful future.
Our name, Sakinah, means tranquility, reflecting our mission to foster inner peace and resilience in the lives we touch.
Sakinah Foundation focuses on four core areas to uplift and strengthen communities:
Teen Education & Mentorship: Guiding young people to achieve their full potential through mentorship, life skills, and educational support.
Mental Health & Emotional Wellness: Offering resources and programs that promote mental well-being and emotional resilience.
Sexual Reproductive Health & Purity Advocacy: Providing education and advocacy to support informed choices, health, and personal dignity.
Community Engagement: Building strong, connected communities through outreach, awareness campaigns, and collaborative initiatives.

We specifically want to give our all for teens; mentorship, talks and awareness on matters affecting them; drug abuse, peer pressure, education, careers, sex education, relationship & friends, psychological...and offer a platform where they could get help and reroute ...and also offer education sponsorship needy students, uniforms and just anything that can make teens from every background comfortable as they undergo teenage hood and education
