Volunteers are accepted from diverse backgrounds and age groups. While there is no strict minimum age listed, volunteers must be committed and able to fulfill their roles either independently or in teams. Some age groups can volunteer during the holidays.

Yes, all new volunteers attend a brief orientation session. This includes understanding Sakinah’s mission, values/ethos rooted in Islamic principles, programme goals, and expectations.

Sakinah Foundation also caters to the widows in society. We provide food for this group of people because we realized that after the demise of their husbands, most have no one to take care of them.

We partner with schools, churches, and the local authorities to be able to identify cases of vulnerability. Through our camps and seminars, we are also able to identify these cases.
